Nutrition

Dave Skattum is a Certified Nutritarian with the Nutritarian Education Institute. It wasn't many years ago that Dave was exhibiting signs of prediabetes, was obese and had severe back and knee pain. At that time, he thought that healthy eating was to NOT "super-size it". By changing his diet, he has experienced great results by losing 70 pounds and is pain free. He also knows that it is not an easy journey, filled with many failures. One of the major keys to his long-term success is his studies in nutrition.

MORE ABOUT THE INSTITUTE:

While studying at the Nutritarian Institute, Dave learned about the most health promoting foods and the role that superior nutrition plays in weight loss, cancer protection, and the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases like diabetes, autoimmune and heart disease.

This program is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of nutrition and the role that healthy food plays in optimizing health and treating chronic diseases as well as medical professionals who want to broaden their knowledge of how nutrition influences disease and health outcomes. Dave highly recommends this program to anyone interested in taking their nutrition to a new level.

Dr. Fuhrman's Nutritarian Education Institute is a licensed Continuing Education Provider for the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Dave is an avid Nutritarian. Very simply, a nutritarian diet means a diet high in the nutrient's humans need for maximizing their health. He outlines the 3 principles of a nutritarian diet as follows: adequate nutrient density; hormonally favorable; avoiding things that are carcinogenic or toxic; When you meet these 3 principles, along with physical activity and a positive mental attitude, your body is running optimally.
